I’m not sure how I missed this. But ESPN’s Tim Griffith dug deep with Mike Gundy after the rolling pin-over-the-testicle-pain loss to Houston, which now looks much worse with the Cougars falling from the top 25 after crapping the bed in El Paso.
Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy got a quick life lesson from his 4-year-old boy, Gage, on how to get over setbacks quickly.
Gage Gundy sliced his foot open Sunday night and received some stitches during a quick trip to the emergency room. His dad can only hope his team is as resilient as it overcomes its loss Saturday to Houston.
“Kids are resilient. I think they overcome things,” Gundy said. “He’s (Gage) walking around today, he’s 4 years old and he doesn’t know the difference. I think our guys are the same way.
How did young Gage cut his foot? Did he slice it on Gundy’s hair, perhaps? Did he slip on gel that spilled on the coach’s linoleum kitchen floor?
If OSU loses to A&M next week … and the loss is really painful … I’ll just crush a box cutter into my foot. That’ll put everything in perspective.
